Shorrock Supercharged 1961 Austin Mini Seven

Carl sends us an email about a supercharger I’d never heard, the Shorrock Supercharger:

I installed this original 1960′s Shorrock C75B Mini kit on my 1961 Austin Mini Seven in 1998. I rebuilt the engine specifically to suit the blower application using parts and technology that would have been available in the early 60′s. Modified head ported inlets, very large exhaust ports, larger exhaust valves, large bore exhaust and header. Camshaft with much longer exhaust duration than inlet, offset bushes in the valve rockers to increase valve lift, etc.

The original 848cc engine was listed at 34hp and did 72mph.
My 850 with all the little mods, 74hp at the wheels on rolling road dynamometer and would pull 108mph with 2 passengers, still only 848cc and sounded like a WW2 fighter plane!
