This supercharger was introduced in 1957 for Ford motor companies experimental Nascar program. After it was banned in Nascar for giving an unfair advantage it was reintroduced by Ford for the F-code series Thunderbirds and police cars, only 2,000 units were produced 1,200 made it to the public.
